As well as you have a picture of all the other teams on your banner except Triton, which you could easily fix by taking out the Georgetown player because they arnt a river rival.

Re: Weekly Picks

Actually, this team really doesn't care about any publicity.
But, you are right, Jesse IS a junior.

Re: Weekly Picks

ABSOLUTELY; you may just see a SEA OF RED at the NBPT-G'town game this Friday evening.
It will be interesting to see G'town play against a "passing" team.

It is the wish of this group of CAL coaches, however, to do it this way. I suppose it is all how you feel about that, when determining the best team.

Re: Weekly picks

Someone needs to get Georgetown a REAL schedule next year.
It's nice that we let them come up; but, come on, shouldn't they be required to play teams equal to those that are played the remainder of the league?
This is such a JOKE.

That's a good idea. I posted all of tonight's results ... Still waiting to hear about the Newburyport boys' soccer team, but everything else should be included.

Thanks for writing.

Re: Newburyport loses, Amesbury wins

How about posting some scores on this blog? Or are they already posted elsewhere? Nbpt. girls soccer played today. Wondering if they won.

Re: Newburyport 0-2?

Now, even though I am an Indians fan, I have sympathy for these guys. I thought that they were the better team when Triton beat them & it was just one of those things; although, I did not attend the Saugus game & can't speak on what the heck happened there.

We lost our first three games last year, and (no matter what you NBPT fans want to think) were still able to make it into the superbowl playoffs with hard work. I can argue the "no clancy last Thanksgiving argument" by saying that we got ROBBED at another game by a RIDICULOUS call (and many will attest to this); so, we would have made it to playoffs anyway.

Aside from all of that, it is a new season, and this team, like all of the others, will fall into place, where they should be.

The two games don't count for the post-season. So, maybe you're just getting your season's losses out of the way.

I wish you good luck; Indians WANT a good Thanksgiving Day game!

Re: Weekly Picks

we all realize that the amesbury folks are just poking fun at Dan here;
but as a Triton parent, I am wondering if you will be posting more photos on this website, as RallyNorth did.

Re: Weekly Picks

Another tough break for you Dan; you should have consulted with FootballMum and me before picking the Vikings over the Indians; we could have helped!
Congratulations Fighting Indians

Re: Weekly Picks

But they DO have to cross over; Amesbury (CAL SMALL) played and beat Triton (CAL LARGE), last night
Small vs large will just not happen in Superbowl playoffs.

Re: Weekly Picks

wow....what a game. Nobody in the visitor stands even seemed worried when Indians were down, for a quick minute. The laughing and confidently cheering, in the cold (I am a west coast warm-blooded) pouring rain continued as if they never WERE down.

This team works as a unit, including the fans!

Not like west coast high school teams that have one or two stars making all the plays, and the remaining players are simply, all but.....negligible; this team utilizes every tool in the toolbox!
From the sidelines, you can here these players talking to one another on the field; running backs yelling to blockers running at full speed, etc.

I still can't believe the Amesbury QB taking down that huge fullback

I have to praise the Indians coaching staff here, as well.

Amesbury is the team to watch, Mr. Guttenplan.

Re: Weekly Picks

Dan,
Don't worry, I will cook you a Thanksgiving dinner :)

Tough weekend going 0 for 2. Good luck on the 80% mark. It won't be as easy now that CAL teams from the small do not have to cross over and play the CAL large teams. You won't get to flex your prognosticating muscles picking Masco over Amesbury or Wilmington over Ipswich.

Re: Football picks

newbryport 35 triton 6
